Radio 1, First Radio Broadcaster in Norway with FMeXtra

Oslo, Norway, 12 January 2007 Radio 1 based in Oslo Norway is testing the digital broadcasting system FMeXtra on the frequency Fm 102 in Oslo Norway. Radio 1 is the first radio station in Norway to test FMeXtra , a product developed by Digital Radio Express, Inc.(DRE) in Silicon Valley USA.

Bente Klemetsdal President of SBS Radio in Norway comments: "For Radio 1 this is a very exciting product which uses the existing transmitter/ antenna configuration effectively. FMeXtra provides greater flexibility and diversity for digital radio. Digitalization is very important for local radio , and as a result we will be testing various solutions and will make a final decision for digital."
